Well, it has been quite awhile since I've written anything, but this day after Thanksgiving has brought out the reflection in me.
Yesterday, was a nice, easy Thanksgiving, where we had my in-laws and a few friends over. We ate, reminisced, looked at pictures, shared self-penned songs, drew some, and even got someone to play the guitar.
What is there not to be grateful for? Oh yeah, let-downs. A few weeks back, October 26 to be exact, was to be the air date for my "Made in Jersey" episode. Long story short, it didn't happen. The show was canceled after two episodes. So my little episode never got to air. Well, maybe "my" is a strong word. I had a few little lines. But I wanted to see the work, so I was disappointed.
Now, what there is to be grateful for where let-downs are concerned, is the way that it toughens you up and lets you be grateful for whatever "wins" you have. It's tragic to have great things happen and not be able to be grateful for them. Am I right, people?
